In our description database there are 3 solutions for performing hard reset for Acer Iconia Tab A100.

Choose the first method and follow the steps to perform a hard reset. If the first solution does not work, try the next method.

Please remember! Hard reset will delete any and all data your device contains; like pictures, contacts, messages, apps etc. Everything. Acer Iconia Tab A100 device will be brought back to the same configuration as that of a brand new device.

Instruction #1


1. Switch off the tablet by holding the Power key.


2. Next, press and hold the Volume Up button.


3. As you hold Volume Up, press and hold the Power button for a short while.


4.When the tablet vibrates, release the Power key.
5. Next, press the Home button to see Recovery Mode menu.
6. While in the menu, press Volume Down to choose "wipe data/factory reset" and then push the Power button to confirm.


7. Press "Yes--delete all user data". Use Volume Down button to scroll and Power key to select.
8. Select "reboot system now" to restart the device.
9. Good job! The hard reset is done!

Instruction #2


1. Switch the tablet on by pressing the Power button.


2. Now, go to Settings > Privacy.
3. Press Factory data reset.
4. Reset device > Erase everything.
5. You're done.

Instruction #3


1. First, urn off the device by holding the Power button.


2. Now, press and hold the Volume Up button.


3. While holding Volume Up press the Power button for a short while.


4. After the device vibrates, release the Power Button.
5. As soon as the tablet vibrates, you have to quickly work the Screen Lock Switch. STILL hold the volume button.
