In our description database there are 2 solutions for performing hard reset for Alcatel Idol S.
Choose the first method and follow the steps to perform a hard reset. If the first solution does not work, try the next method.
Please remember! Hard reset will delete any and all data your device contains; like pictures, contacts, messages, apps etc. Everything. Alcatel Idol S device will be brought back to the same configuration as that of a brand new device.
1. First, press and hold the Power key to turn the device off.
2. Next, press and hold the Volume Up + Power buttons for several seconds.
3. Release all keys when the Android Image appears.
4. A new menu appear on screen. From it, select "English" by using Volume buttons to navigate and Power key to choose.
5. Now use Volume Down to choose "wipe data/factory reset". Push thePower button to confirm.
6. Please select "yes" from the menu. Accept it with Power button.
7. Restart the device by selecting "reboot system now".
8. Hoozah, you have performed the hard reset.

2. Afterwards, open Menu and choose Settings.
3. Next, select Backup&Reset and tap Factory data reset.
4. Now choose Reset device and then select Erase everything to begin the hard reset operation.
