In our description database there are 2 solutions for performing hard reset for Alcatel OT-978.
Choose the first method and follow the steps to perform a hard reset. If the first solution does not work, try the next method.
Please remember! Hard reset will delete any and all data your device contains; like pictures, contacts, messages, apps etc. Everything. Alcatel OT-978 device will be brought back to the same configuration as that of a brand new device.
1. Turn your phone off.
2. Press and hold Volume button + Power button.
3. Release held keys when the Alcatel logo shows up.
4. Afterwards, press Home key and select "wipe data/factory reset" by using Volume rocker to scroll and Menu button to confirm.
5. Confirm the operation by pressing Menu key.
7. Select "reboot system now", confirm using, again, Menu key.
8. Jolly good, you have performed the hard reset. Pat yourself on the back and open up a beer bottle.
Instruction #2
1. Switch off the phone.
2. Now find and select Settings and then go to Backup & Reset (Privacy).
3. When there, tap Factory data reset and choose Reset phone.
4. Next, select Erase everything.
5. Yay, the factory reset is done.
