In order to hard reset a dopod 838, you should perform the following steps.
Remember! Hard reset will delete all the data on your device; pictures, contacts, messages, apps and more.
dopod 838 device will be brought back to the default configuration of a brand new device.
1. Turn off the phone.
2. Press and hold Comm Manager + Voice Command softkeys simultaneously.
3. Insert the stylus into the hole in a location shown in the picture.
4. Keep holding the buttons and follow the on-screen instructions. Release them when the "Press Send to restore factory default, other key to quit" message appears on-screen.
5. Begin the factory reset by pressing Send button. Wait for the phone to reset and restart. Done!
