In order to hard reset a HCL ME Tablet U1, you should perform the following steps.

Remember! Hard reset will delete all the data on your device; pictures, contacts, messages, apps and more.
HCL ME Tablet U1 device will be brought back to the default configuration of a brand new device.

1. Press and hold the Power button until the phone turns off.

2. Now press'n'hold Volume Up + Power buttons for few seconds. Let go of them when the Android logo pops on-screen.

4.Continue by selecting wipe data/factory reset.

5. Now select Yes--delete all user data.
6. Lastly, select reboot system now.

7. The hard reset is now complete.
