Choose the first method and follow the steps to perform a hard reset. If the first solution does not work, try the next method.
Please remember! Hard reset will delete any and all data your device contains; like pictures, contacts, messages, apps etc. Everything. Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM device will be brought back to the same configuration as that of a brand new device.
Instruction 1:
1. Switch the phone on with a press of the Power button.
2. Enter Main Menu and go to Windows Phone Settings.
3. Now select About.
4. Lastly, tap Reset your phone. That is all.
Instruction 2:
1. Press the Power button until the phone turns off.
2. Now press the Power Button just once.
3. Hold down the Volume Down button.
4. Let go of these buttons when an exclamation mark appears.
5. Press this button sequence: Volume Up > Volume Down > Power > Volume Down.
