In our description database there are 3 solutions for performing hard reset for Motorola DEFY.
Choose the first method and follow the steps to perform a hard reset. If the first solution does not work, try the next method.
Please remember! Hard reset will delete any and all data your device contains; like pictures, contacts, messages, apps etc. Everything. Motorola DEFY device will be brought back to the same configuration as that of a brand new device.
1. Turn on the phone.
2. Enter Menu > Settings > Privacy > Factory data reset > Reset phone.
3. If asked to, type in the phone's code. Done.
1. Turn off the device.
2. Hold down the Power & Volume buttons until an Android icon shows onscreen.
3. Now press Home button.
4. Next, select wipe data/factory reset - Volume navigates the menu, Power selects options.
5. Continue with selecting Yes - delete all user data and reboot system now.
6. There, done.
1. For starters, power down the phone.
2. Now press and hold the Volume Up & Power button.
3. When an Android robot appears on-screen, press the lower-right side of the touchscreen.
4. A small menu will open. Using Volume Down to navigate to and Power to confirm, select Clear Storage.
5. To confirm the hard reset process, Press Volume Up to select Yes. Done!
