In our description database there are 2 solutions for performing hard reset for Motorola DEFY XT XT556.
Choose the first method and follow the steps to perform a hard reset. If the first solution does not work, try the next method.
Please remember! Hard reset will delete any and all data your device contains; like pictures, contacts, messages, apps etc. Everything. Motorola DEFY XT XT556 device will be brought back to the same configuration as that of a brand new device.
Instruction I:
1. Remove the phone's battery. Now put it back in.
2. Now press & hold the Volume & Power buttons simultaneously.
3. Let go of them when the Motorola logo shows on-screen. Press Home button.
4. Selet wipe data/factory reset. To do that, press Volume Down to scroll and Power button to confirm.
5. Continue by selecting Yes - delete all user data and reboot sytem now.
6. Done.
1. Power up the phone.
2. Press Home > Menu > Settings > Privacy > Factory Data reset.
3. Lastly, select Reset Phone and Erase Everything. Well done, the hard reset is complete.
