In our description database there are 2 solutions for performing hard reset for Motorola Moto E (2nd gen).

Choose the first method and follow the steps to perform a hard reset. If the first solution does not work, try the next method.

Please remember! Hard reset will delete any and all data your device contains; like pictures, contacts, messages, apps etc. Everything. Motorola Moto E (2nd gen) device will be brought back to the same configuration as that of a brand new device.

 

Instruction I:

1. Turn on the phone.

2. Starting from the Home Screen, open Menu and Settings.
3. Continue to Backup & Reset > Reset Device > Delete All.
4. Voila.

Instruction II:

 

1. Firstly, swiitch off the phone by holding the Power button.

2. Now press & hold the Volume Down button for two to three seconds.
3. As you hold Volume Down, press Power button.

4. Now select Recovery - use  Volume Down to navigate through the options and Volume Up to confirm.

5. Android logo will appear on-screen. When it does, press-hold the Volume Up button for a few seconds. As you hold it, press and let go of the Power button.

6. Select the wipe data/factory reset option. Use Volume to navigate to the option and Power to select it.


7. Now select, in the same way as above, Yes - delete all user data and reboot system now.
8. Voila, the hard reset is now complete.
