In our description database there are 2 solutions for performing hard reset for Motorola Moto E.

Choose the first method and follow the steps to perform a hard reset. If the first solution does not work, try the next method.

Please remember! Hard reset will delete any and all data your device contains; like pictures, contacts, messages, apps etc. Everything. Motorola Moto E device will be brought back to the same configuration as that of a brand new device.

 

Instruction 1:


1. First of all, power down the phone.

2. Press'n'hold the Volume Down button for three seconds. As you hold it, press and release Power button.

3. Select Recovery option. To do that, use Volume Down to navigate and Volume Up to confirm.

4. Hold the Volume Up after an Android Logo pops onscreen. Press and release Power button as you hold.

5. You are halfway there. In a new menu, select wipe data/factory reset - Volume Down navigates through the menu, Power button selects.


6. Continue by selecting Yes - delete all user data and Reboot System Now.

7. Yaay, the hard reset is complete. Glorious.

Instruction 2:

1. Turn on the display (Power button).

2. Open Settings and Backup & reset.
3. Then go to Factory Data Reset and Reset Phone. Select Erase Everything.
4. Confirm the whole process with an OK.
5. Done.
