In our description database there are 2 solutions for performing hard reset for Motorola Moto G (2nd gen).

2. Well done. Now press and hold the Volume buttons simultaneously for three seconds. While you hold them down, press and release the Power button.
3. Select Recovery option by using Volume Down to navigate through the menu and Volume Up to confirm your choice.
4. Android logo will appear on-screen. When it does, hold down the Volume Up button. Press and release the Power button.
5. Select the wipe data/factory reset option. Use Volume to navigate to the option and Power to select it.
6. Now select, in the same way as above, Yes - delete all user data and reboot system now.
7. Voila, the hard reset is now complete.
