Choose the first method and follow the steps to perform a hard reset. If the first solution does not work, try the next method.
Please remember! Hard reset will delete any and all data your device contains; like pictures, contacts, messages, apps etc. Everything. Nokia Asha 501 device will be brought back to the same configuration as that of a brand new device.
Instruction I:
1. Switch on the phone.
2. Open the dialer (Call button) and type in 3 and * buttons.
3. Let go of them when Nokia logo appears on-screen. Press Call button to confirm.
4. Give your phone time to reset and restart. That is all.
1. Power up the phone.
2. Open the dialer, enter this code into it - *#7370# - and confirm.
3. Enter the lock code into the phone (12345 by default). Device will reset and restart.
