In our tutorial base there is 2 solutions for hard reset Xiaomi Mi 3.

Choose the first method and follow the steps to perform a hard reset. If first solution will not work then use next method.

Important, hard reset will delete any data on your device, like pictures, contacts, messages, apps and more.
Xiaomi Mi 3 device will be brought back, to the same configuration as if you bought a brand new device.

Solution #1


1. Begin by holding down the Power button in order to switch the device off.


2. Afterwards, press and hold the Volume Up + Power button for a moment.


3. When the Mi Logo shows on your screen, release the Power key ONLY.
4. Hold the Volume Up key until the Recovery Mode starts.


5. Now select English using Volume keys to browse and Power rocker to select.
6. Next, select "wipe data/factory reset" by using Volume Down to scroll and Power button to confirm.


7. Select "Yes--delete all user data". Use Volume Down button to scroll and Power key to select.
8. To restart the device, press "reboot system now".


9. Congratulations. You have just performed a hard reset. High-five yourself.

Solution #2


1. Turn your device on.


2. After that arduous task, go to Settings > Backup & reset.
3. Tap Factory Data Reset >  Reset Device.
4. Choose Erase Everything if you are sure you want to clear all your data.
5. Press OK to complete the operation.
6. You're done. Yaaay.
