Despite the focus on the hardware issues, just like with the factory reset, this process is pretty invasive.

Since hardware and software work hand in hand, the action will still erase all the data stored on your smartphone.

Apps will also be uninstalled and settings will once again require a detailed restore and personalization.

1. To begin this easy process, unlock your screen and hold down power button.

2. Now on your screen should appear a menu looking similar to this one:

3. Then tap on the Reboot option to finish entire process.

4. And this is it. Your phone will be ready to use after restart.

A hard reset, also known as a factory reset or master reset, is the restoration of a device to the state it was in when it left the factory.

All settings, applications and data added by the user are removed.

The term is often heard in reference to smartphones and tablets but laptop and desktop computers, as well as most other electronic devices, can usually be restored to factory conditions.
