Hard Reset for BlackBerry 7290
In our description database there are 2 solutions for performing hard reset for BlackBerry 7290.
Choose the first method and follow the steps to perform a hard reset. If the first solution does not work, try the next method.
Please remember! Hard reset will delete any and all data your device contains; like pictures, contacts, messages, apps etc. Everything. BlackBerry 7290 device will be brought back to the same configuration as that of a brand new device.
Instruction #1
1. Turn on the phone.
2. Now select Options, followed by Security and Set a password.
3. When asked to enter password, do so incorrectly ten times in a row. This will prompt the device to reset and return to its factory settings.
Instruction #2
1. For starters, turn your phone on.
2. Next, go to Options > Security > Wipe handheld.
3. You will be asked to enter the word "BlackBerry". It might be neccessary to do that up to ten times.
4. When you type in the word enough times, the phone will reset and restart. Bravo.
