Hard Reset for BlackBerry Leap
In our description database there are 2 solutions for performing hard reset for BlackBerry Leap.
Choose the first method and follow the steps to perform a hard reset. If the first solution does not work, try the next method.
Please remember! Hard reset will delete any and all data your device contains; like pictures, contacts, messages, apps etc. Everything. BlackBerry Leap device will be brought back to the same configuration as that of a brand new device.
Instruction I
1. Power up the phone by pressing the Power button.
2. Choose Settings, then Security, Privacy and Security Wipe.
3. When prompted to, type the word "BlackBerry" into the phone.
4. Continue by choosing the Delete data option.
5. Woohoo, the phone resets and restarts and the hard reset is complete. Pat yourself on the back and open up a bottle of beer.
Instruction II
1. Hi. For starters, download BlackBerry Link on your PC.
2. Now turn off your device by pressing the Power button.
3. Find a USB cable and use it to connect your phone to your PC.
4. A BlackBerry Link window will open. Find and select your device.
5. Now choose the Back Up & Restore option, followed by a Factory Reset. Done!
