In our description database there are 3 solutions for performing hard reset for HTC Desire 830.
Choose the first method and follow the steps to perform a hard reset. If the first solution does not work, try the next method.
Please remember! Hard reset will delete any and all data your device contains; like pictures, contacts, messages, apps etc. Everything. HTC Desire 830 device will be brought back to the same configuration as that of a brand new device.
1. Turn off the phone by holding down the Power button.
2. Next, press and hold Volume Down & Power button simultaneously.
3. Using Volume Down to navigate & Power button to select, choose the Factory reset option.
4. Voila! The hard reset is complete. Good job.
1. First, power up the device.
2. Next, open Menu and Settings, then go to Backup and Reset.
3. To complete the process, tap Reset Phone and, lastly, choose the Erase All Data option.
4. After tapping OK, device will now reset and restart. You have completed the hard reset process. Shiny.

2. Press & hold the Power + Volume Down buttons simultaneously for a few seconds.
3. Select Recovery option.
4. Wait for an image of a phone to appear on screen. When it does, press Volume Up and Power button at the same time.
5. Now, select wipe data / factory reset > Yes -- delete all user data > reboot system now.
6. Congrats, the hard reset is complete.
