Hard Reset for Microsoft Surface 2

In our description database there are 3 solutions for performing hard reset for Microsoft Surface 2.

Choose the first method and follow the steps to perform a hard reset. If the first solution does not work, try the next method.

Please remember! Hard reset will delete any and all data your device contains; like pictures, contacts, messages, apps etc. Everything. Microsoft Surface 2 device will be brought back to the same configuration as that of a brand new device.

Instruction I:


1. For starters, turn off the tablet.

2. Next, hold down Shift and select  Restart and/or Restart anyway.
3. When your phone restarts, Choose an option screen will pop up. From it, select Troubleshoot.

4. Select Reset your PC and then Next.

5. Now select Just remove my files OR Fully clean the drive.
6. Complete the process by choosing Reset option. Done.

Instruction II:

1. Press & hold the Power button. Swipe the screen to the right edge and select Settings.

2. Next, tap Change PC settings and choose Update and recovery.

3. To continue, select Recovery.

4. Choose the Remove everything and reinstall Windows option.

5. As soon as the appropiate information pop-up comes up tap Get Started and then Next to begin the process.
6. Select either Fully clean the drive or Just remove my files.

7. Complete the whole process by selecting Reset. Yaay, done.

Instruction III:


1. Turn on the device.

2. Insert the USB recovery drive into the USB port.
3. Press & hold the Volume Down button. As you do that, press the Power button.

4. Wait for the Surface logo to pop onscreen. release the Volume Down key.
5. Select the proper language and keyboard layout. Afterwards, select Troubleshoot.

6. Select Reset your PC and then press Next. You may have to select Skip this drive.Yes, repartition the drives 

7. Now select the OS you want to reset. Continue by selecting Yes, repartition the drives and then Next.
8. Select either Just remove my files or Fully clean the drive.
9. Next, select Reset. Clear the TPM by pressing F12. Done!
