In our description database there are 2 solutions for performing hard reset for Motorola Moto X (2nd Gen).
Choose the first method and follow the steps to perform a hard reset. If the first solution does not work, try the next method.
Please remember! Hard reset will delete any and all data your device contains; like pictures, contacts, messages, apps etc. Everything. Motorola Moto X (2nd Gen) device will be brought back to the same configuration as that of a brand new device.
1. Turn off the device.
2. Hold down the Volume Down button for three seconds. Press the Power
3. Next, select Recovery - Volume Down navigates the menu, Volume Up selects options.
4. Next, select wipe data/factory reset - Volume navigates the menu, Power selects options.
5. Continue with selecting Yes - delete all user data and reboot system now.
6. There, done.
